MEETING INSTALLATION OF NEW
OFFICERS JUNE 4,
2004 The Texas Shrine Clown Association held it’s annual
breakfast and business meeting in the ballroom at the Karem Shrine Temple
at 400 Karem Circle in Waco, Texas. President George White welcomed everyone to Waco Texas
for our annual breakfast and installation of new officers. Chaplain Wayne Chambers. President George White called the meeting to
refreshments so everyone could enjoy a delightful buffet breakfast hosted
by the Karem Clowns. At 8:10 AM President George White called the business
meeting to order. President George White introduced the Officers and guest
at the head table. First Vice
President Eddie “Fireplug” Cox and his lady Nina. Second Vice President Joe “Blades”
Lester, Secretary/Treasurer Bob “Checkers” Mantle and his lady Priscilla,
Parliamentarian Randal “Randy” Dunn and his guest Shirley Henson. Newly elected 2nd Vice
President Dwayne “Popcorn” Cochran and his lady Gay, and Chaplain Wayne
Chambers and his lady Sandy. Following the introduction of the head table President
George White requested the roll call of units. During the roll call of units the units present were given
the opportunity to introduce their Divan members and dignitaries
present. There were ( 9 ) units out
of eighteen ( 18 ) present. Following roll call President George White requested the
reading of the minutes from our Mid-Winter meeting in Fort Worth on March
6, 2004. A motion was made and
seconded to waive the reading of the minutes. The motion passed by unanimous vote. Copies of the minutes are posted on the
clown web site and can be reviewed at any time. The next order of business was the reading of the
audited treasury report. Secretary
/ Treasurer Bob Mantle read a completed detailed financial summary of the
income and expenses of the Association since the treasurers report given at
Mid-Winter in Fort Worth. Since the
Association meeting in Fort Worth the Association had $1,973.70 in expenses
and had additional income of $1,126.71.
Thus leaving a balance in the Texas Shrine Clown Association
checking account a balance of $3,433.59.
A motion was made and seconded to except the treasurers report as
given. The motion carried
unanimous. The Association checking
account is being tracked through Quicken software and is available at any
time for any member to review.

President George White then requested Secretary / Treasurer Bob Mantle to conduct a Black Camel Report. A roll call of units was given and the following names were given since our Mid-Winter meeting in March. Norman Malone of Arabia Clown Jewels. This nobles name will be added to friends remembered on the clown web site.
TSCA Chaplain Wayne Chambers offered a prayer of remembrance for our deceased members.
The next order of business was the reading of the proposed bylaw change to Article lll Judging Section “F” Nemnuf Trophy and paragraphs 1,2,3. This bylaw change was voted on during the midwinter meeting and has been posted on the clown website since March. The motion was made to accept the except the changes to the bylaws and the motion passed unanimously.
President George White invited Illustrious Potentate Jerry Norvell of Hella Temple to the podium to install the officers for the ensuing year 2004-2005. The following officers were installed.

The newly installed President Eddie “Fireplug” Cox was presented his President Fez by his daughter Kacee and his lovely wife Nina. President Eddie Cox was then presented with the gavel of authority from outgoing President George “Pudgie” White.
Newly installed President Eddie “Fireplug” Cox presented President George “Pudgie” White a plaque of appreciation and congratulated him for a very successful year.
President elect Eddie Cox thanked the Karem Clowns for a delightful breakfast and the hard work they put in putting things together for the breakfast.
President Eddie Cox gave a brief overview of his plans for Mid-Winter to be held March 10th through the 13th 2005 in Mesquite, Texas.
Eddie said he would be using the theme “Remember the Past as we look to the Future”. On Saturday March 12, 2005 at the awards banquet all Past TSCA President will be recognized and honored. A copy of the registration and agenda will be posted on the clown website.
President Eddie Cox recognized all Past Presidents of the Texas Shrine Clown Association in attendance. He invited each to come up front and be recognized. After introductions a toast was given in their honor for their continued support to the association.
